Solo Leveling: Ragnarok’s English comic is on hiatus, not labeled cancelled by its official reading platforms. Tapas says Season 2 has ended and that the comic will return for Season 3. The novel is a different case: its English Tapas edition is marked complete.

As of September 14, 2026, Tapas’s comic notice does not give a Season 3 return date. That is the important distinction behind the cancellation question: there is a stated plan to continue the comic, but no date in that notice to promise readers the next chapter.

What the official platforms actually say

Tapas posted its hiatus announcement on January 31, 2026. It identifies the end of Season 2, describes a break and says the team will return with Season 3. Tappytoon also labels its English comic edition “Hiatus.” Those statements support a pause between seasons, not a report that the adaptation has been permanently cancelled.

The notice is dated January, not September: Tapas has not replaced it with a return date on the comic page.

Why is the manhwa on hiatus?

The reason given in Tapas’s English notice is a break after finishing Season 2. It does not provide a detailed production explanation or set a deadline for the next season.

For readers waiting since the finale, the notice offers an intention to continue, not a countdown. It also does not give enough detail to determine how long the production break will last.

Nor does the novel’s completion mean the comic has been cancelled. A finished prose story and an unfinished adaptation can exist at the same time. They have separate publication schedules.

Is chapter 69 out, or is there a return date?

Tappytoon lists episode 68 as the Season 2 finale. Tapas’s comic page displays 69 catalog entries, but that total includes the teaser alongside the numbered chapters. It should not be read as confirmation that story chapter 69 has been released.

The comic pages also retain a Saturday update label. Read that alongside the hiatus announcement: a recurring schedule describes the usual release pattern, while a dated break notice tells you that the pattern has paused. A newly dated story episode or a Season 3 announcement would be meaningful evidence of a return. The unchanged Saturday label is not.

Can you read the novel while waiting?

Yes, the English novel has its own Tapas listing and is marked complete. It follows Sung Suho, Jinwoo’s son, as the threat to Earth draws him into the world of hunters. That is a prose reading option while the comic is on break, not an announcement that the illustrated version has resumed.

Do not match a comic chapter number directly to a novel chapter with the same number. They are separate editions, and that number alone does not identify the same scene. If you are still placing Ragnarok in relation to Jinwoo’s original story and its side stories, the Solo Leveling reading-order guide explains where the sequel fits.

The short answer remains: the comic is officially on break with Season 3 planned; the English novel is complete; a comic return date has not been supplied in the notices above.
