Weak Hero Class 1 expands Gray’s past into the drama’s starting point; Class 2 brings Si-eun to Eunjang, where the webtoon begins. The adaptation also changes Su-ho’s abilities and key relationships around Hu-min and Baek-jin. After either season, start the webtoon at episode 1: there is no clean chapter that continues the drama’s version.

Who is who? Webtoon and drama character names
The English WEBTOON edition localises many names. Gray is Si-eun, not a different lead. These are counterparts, however: recognising a name does not mean the character makes the same choices in both versions.

| Gray Yeon | Yeon Si-eun |
| Stephen | Ahn Su-ho |
| Bryce | Oh Beom-seok |
| Ben Park | Park Hu-min, also nicknamed Baku |
| Alex Go | Go Hyun-tak |

| Donald Na | Na Baek-jin |
| Wolf Keum | Geum Seong-je |
| Colton Choi | Choi Hyo-man |
How Class 1 changes the story
Spoilers for the friendship conflict in Class 1 and the setup of Class 2 follow. The final outcomes of Class 2 and the webtoon are not explained here.
1. A later flashback becomes the opening season
The comic first lets you see Gray in his new school, then explains the experiences behind his guarded behaviour. The drama reverses that emphasis. You meet Si-eun before Eunjang and watch his first friendships develop. As a result, the same reluctance to trust in Class 2 reads as an aftermath you recognise, rather than a mystery about the new student.
2. Su-ho changes the balance of the friendship
Stephen’s academic ability makes him an important friend to Gray, but he is not the formidable fighter Su-ho becomes on screen. Giving Su-ho that physical confidence changes how the trio handles danger: Si-eun’s planning can work alongside a friend who can protect them directly. The drama’s fights therefore cannot be used as a scene-by-scene guide to Stephen’s comic story.
3. Eight episodes linger on the relationship breaking down
Class 1 spends a full season building the friendship and the resentment around it. That gives small exclusions and changes in trust more time to accumulate than a flashback within an already-running school story. Viewers who loved the trio may feel that the comic moves to Eunjang too quickly; readers may find the drama’s opening more concentrated on one painful relationship.
Director You Su-min discussed this decision to build a season around the backstory in TIME’s interview about the adaptation. That linked article contains ending spoilers beyond the comparisons here.
What Class 2 changes at Eunjang
Class 2 gives Hu-min and Baek-jin a shared childhood friendship. In the comic, Ben and Donald do not have that same history. On screen, the conflict is therefore not only about resisting the Union: Hu-min also has to face what became of someone he once helped. Baek-jin’s desire to recover that connection complicates his attempts to control him.
The comic has more room to develop Eunjang’s surrounding students, rival schools and successive confrontations. The shorter drama brings the main relationship conflicts closer together. A familiar opponent or school name tells you that material has been adapted, but not that the earlier introductions and motivations were carried across unchanged.
Where to start reading after Class 1 or Class 2
Start at episode 1 in both cases. After Class 1, you will meet the comic’s Eunjang cast in its intended order. After Class 2, the opening establishes the original relationships before later clashes ask you to rely on them. Jumping to a late fight risks importing the drama’s motives into a different story.

Is the webtoon worth reading after the drama?
Yes, if you want Gray’s completed original story and more time with the school rivalries. If you want the next episode of the drama, it is a less direct fit: the comic will not simply continue Si-eun’s screen continuity. Both versions contain bullying and severe violence, so the change of medium is not a reason to expect a lighter story.
