Your information
Privacy policy
Last updated: 11 September 2026
You can read AdaptLore without creating an account. This policy explains how information is handled when you visit adaptlore.com, send feedback or contact us.
AdaptLore is responsible for the information it collects through the website and its correspondence. For privacy questions or requests, email admin@adaptlore.com.
Information collected and why
- Visit information: hosting and security services may record your IP address, requested page, browser details, referring page, time of access and errors. This helps deliver pages, diagnose problems and protect the site.
- Usage information: analytics can record pages viewed, interactions, device and browser details, referral information and approximate location to help us understand how the site is used.
- Messages: when you email us, we receive your email address, any name you provide and the contents of your message so we can respond.
- Article feedback: helpfulness votes and title suggestions are stored with the relevant article, submission time, browser details and a coded visitor identifier to manage repeat submissions.
Reading an article or submitting a helpfulness vote does not require your name or email address. Please do not include sensitive personal information in feedback or suggestions.
Cookies and local storage
Cookies are small files saved by a website or service. Local storage is another way a website can save information in your browser. AdaptLore uses local storage to remember your light or dark theme, article votes and a randomly generated feedback identifier.
We also store your analytics-cookie choice in this browser for up to 180 days. Choose Accept to allow analytics or Decline to leave it off. You can change your choice through Cookie settings in the footer. If browser storage is unavailable, your choice applies to the current page only.
Analytics and embedded-media providers may also use cookies or similar technologies. You can delete or restrict browser storage through your browser settings. Clearing it resets saved preferences and does not automatically remove information already sent to us or to a provider.
Google Analytics
AdaptLore uses Google Analytics 4 to understand visits and improve its pages. Google Analytics can use cookies and process device, browser, referral, interaction and approximate-location information. Google explains its handling of this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Our public-site analytics tag loads only after you accept analytics cookies. Scrolling, browsing or ignoring the banner does not give consent. It stays off when your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, even if you previously accepted. Choosing Decline through Cookie settings stops further analytics and removes the Google Analytics cookies our site can access; the page reloads automatically if analytics was already running. This does not delete data already sent or control separate services such as embedded video players or advertising. You can also use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on in a supported browser.
Embedded videos and external services
Some articles include YouTube players or other externally hosted media. When that content loads, the provider may receive your IP address, browser details and the page you are visiting, and may use its own cookies. If you are signed in to that service, its privacy settings may affect how the visit is associated with your account.
External websites and media providers have their own privacy policies. Google and YouTube explain theirs in Google's Privacy Policy.
Advertising and your choices
AdaptLore may display advertising. Where Google AdSense is used, Google and other participating advertising providers may use cookies to select ads based on previous visits to this site or other websites. Google's advertising cookies allow it and its partners to personalize advertising using that browsing information.
You can manage or turn off Google's personalized advertising in My Ad Center. You can also manage participating providers' interest-based advertising through the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tool. Turning off personalization does not necessarily remove ads or every cookie used for ad delivery, measurement or security.
Messages and article feedback
We use correspondence to answer questions, handle corrections and rights requests, and keep relevant records. Article votes and suggestions help us improve coverage. A coded feedback identifier distinguishes repeat submissions; it is not a request for your real name.
Our website and email service providers process this information to deliver those services. Please share only what is needed for your request.
Retention and sharing
Information is retained for the purpose it serves, including responding to requests, maintaining site security and meeting legal obligations. The period depends on the type of record and any unresolved request or dispute. We use your saved analytics-cookie choice for up to 180 days before asking again; other browser-stored preferences remain until you clear them or your browser removes them.
Hosting, email and analytics providers receive information needed to provide their services. Embedded-media providers, and advertising providers where used, handle data under their own policies. We may also disclose information when legally required or necessary to protect rights and safety.
These providers may process information in countries other than your own. No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security.
Your privacy rights and choices
Depending on the law that applies to you, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of your personal information, restrict or object to its use, withdraw consent where processing relies on it, or complain to a data-protection authority.
To make a request, email admin@adaptlore.com. Describe the information involved so we can locate it. We may need to verify your identity before responding, and some records may need to be kept to meet legal obligations.
You can also use the browser and provider controls described above. Where an external service offers consent settings, those settings apply to that service. Using this website does not by itself constitute consent to optional tracking.
Children's privacy
AdaptLore is a general-audience publication, not a service directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us with the relevant details so we can investigate and arrange deletion where appropriate.
Changes to this policy
This policy may change as the website and its services change. The date above identifies the latest version. We will provide any additional notice or request for consent required by applicable law.
