McDonald’s SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal reaches participating U.S. restaurants on September 15, 2026, with 15 collectible toys. Bikini Bottom’s characters take on Straw Hat roles: SpongeBob becomes Luffy, while Patrick trades his usual surroundings for Zoro’s part in the crew.

The appeal is the combination, not two separate toy lines. A Zoro fan is looking for Patrick’s version of the swordsman; a Chopper fan gets Gary dressed as the Straw Hats’ doctor.

These four pairings are the examples named in the U.S. announcement, not a complete checklist of all 15 designs. The remaining designs have not been itemized there, and there is no announced U.S. week-by-week toy schedule.

Price, toy choice and buying separately

McDonald’s has not announced a single national price or a nationwide policy for choosing a design or buying a toy without a meal. Your restaurant’s menu gives the meal price; staff can tell you which design is available and whether either toy option is allowed.

If one character is the reason for your visit, ask for that pairing by name before paying. “Do you have Patrick as Zoro, and can I choose him?” is more useful than asking whether the restaurant has One Piece toys. The 15-design collection does not mean every location will carry all 15 at once.

Why some toy photos appeared before the U.S. launch

The international rollout began in August 2026, with dates varying by country. Earlier overseas photos do not indicate an earlier U.S. release. The McDonald’s Bulgaria artwork above illustrates the crossover, but it is not a checklist of what an American restaurant will have in stock.

A separate Dragon Ball collection at Burger King

The Burger King Dragon Ball Super meal launched in the U.S. on September 1 with six figures. It offers a Power Up Pack and a King Jr. Meal, each with a figure—a different promotion from McDonald’s SpongeBob x One Piece Happy Meal.
